Last weekend I had the rare opportunity to hang out with my friend Stefan Leibing and the guys in Primal Fear at the annual Metal Prog Festival in Atlanta. The band does not make it to the U.S. very often, and I really appreciated the invitation and access passes from Stefan! The experience was well worth the sleep deprivation over the weekend... and I must mention the road warrior attitude of my bro Johnny Lokke and his tireless stint at the wheel for the long road trip - John has always been a serious road dog! Primal Fear performed a top notch show in spite of numerous distractions... (i.e. Stefan's guitar didn't make it to the gig from Germany...)

Stefan is not only a sick metal axe grinder, he is also a very cool and down to earth guy. It is a pleasure to know him. Thanks for the cool weekend Stefan!

One of the highlights of my weekend was hanging out with drummer, Randy Black. Randy has definitely placed himself among the metal drumming elite over the last several years. This was my first opportunity to get aquainted with Randy, and I was quite impressed. His stage presence and live performance are second to none, and he obviously slams in the studio! In addition to all his talents, he seems to be a genuine cool human being. I had great time 'talking shop' with him after the gig. Randy has played a ton of big gigs and he has some great stories. If you are not familiar with Randy you might want to check him out...

I'm sorry for the lost year everyone... I hope everyone has been healthy and happy and you and yours are fine...

Much has happened in my world, and it is my fault for not staying in touch... and I apologize to you for that...

I have a cool website to turn you onto: songplanet.com. A good friend of mine is a dj on this website - Dj Zjhok. This is an indie site where they only play songs by artists that are not signed by any of the major record labels. There is a lot of good music and a ton of good drummers to find there. You can find me under the artist "skinbasher", where I am posting some of the tunes I have worked on with various artists.
