Yamaha Maple Custom

My drumkit of choice for live performance is my Yamaha Maple Custom kit. My normal set up consists of the following:

mount toms:10 x 9, 12 x 10, 7-ply maple shells

floor toms:14 x 14, 16 x 16, 10-ply maple shells

snare drum:14 x 6 1/2, 10-ply maple shell

kick:22 x 16, 10-ply maple shell

I use Remo heads on my drums. I prefer the clear Emperors on the top and clear Ambassadors on the bottom of all the toms. On the kick I use a Powerstroke3 and have custom painted Ambassadors on the front. For the snare I use a coated Ambassador for the batter, and a snare side Emperor on the bottom.

I play Zildjian cymbals exclusively and currently am using the following setup:

22" A medium ride - 18" A medium crash/ride - 16" K Custom Dark crash - 15" A Custom crash - 13" A thin crash - 11" Oriental Trash Splash - 14" New Beat hi-hats

I power the kit with Drum Workshop pedals, and mount it all on Yamaha hardware.
